VIEW Multi-User Edition
VIEW Multi-User Edition is designed to operate in a school environment with any number of PCs that could be spanning several class rooms. This edition enables you to perform a single installation of the main content structure for VIEW on a server which can then be accessed using a client installation on each individual PC you wish to run VIEW from.
The content for each VIEW can reach over 600Mb in size which makes running Multi-User Edition an efficient option, preserving the disk space on individual computers’ hard drives. In addition to this, you have the option of adding extra VIEW content from additional VIEW packages to the central structure.
The VIEW client application / “browser” can be deployed on as many PCs as you desire provided that they are all part of a network connecting them to the content structure.
It is still possible to install VIEW Multi-User Edition on a standalone PC provided that you install all components including the client, database and file structure.
VIEW Multi-User Edition is now available for purchase for all available VIEW applications that are currently available to purchase as Single-User Editions. Please refer to the Views page to see what VIEW applications are currently available.
The South East England Development Agency has funded the construction of six VIEW applications. All six will be provided on CDs courtesy of SEEDA to schools in the South East of England free of charge.
Skillsmart, the Sector Skills Council for Retail has funded the construction of a VIEW of Retail CD based on House of Fraser, Oxford Street. The CD is available free of charge to all schools in the UK through their local Education Business Partnership.
