Costain have constructed a new underpass for the A34 under the M4 in Berkshire.

The virtual tour explores the site including the construction areas, site offices and some evidence at the Costain Maidenhead Head Office. It includes views of the site at different stages of completion.

A VIEW of Costain supports the GCSE for Applied Business, offering examples and evidence which enables students to explore and investigate a construction business and the working environments on a specific site.

The virtual tour also provides some evidence in support of Careers Education and the work related curriculum at Key Stage 4.

Developed with support from the South East England Development Agency, the VIEW of Costain is available from December 2004

The VIEW of Costain was made possible by the support of Costain management and employees who provided access to their workplaces, employees and other materials.

The introduction and contact with Costain was made possible through the support of the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB)

Schools and Colleges in the South East (SEEDA) region are entitled to a free single user copy of a VIEW of Costain courtesy of this SEEDA funded project. They should make contact with their local Education Business Partnership to request their copy.
