An Introduction:Welcome to the website for FutureVu, home of the VIEW project (Virtual Interactive Employer's Workplace). You will find out more about this exciting project which brings the workplace to young people in support of the vocational curriculum and higher standards of achievement. VIEW is an ICT based resource which provides young people with access to a variety of workplaces. Through a virtual tour, the young person can explore working areas discovering 360 degree rotary images, closeups, documents, audio interviews, short videos and narratives.Supporting the course requirements of specific Applied GCSEs and the demands of the work related curriculum, VIEW is an innovative way in which employers can offer their place of work as a learning resource for all young people. VIEW is a multimedia application available for stand alone PCs or networks. Available on CD many VIEW applications exceed 500Mb of work based evidence found in real businesses across several sectors and most suited to the Key Stage 4 curriculum. Explore this website for further information or contact us using the details on the contacts page. The South East England Development Agency has funded the construction of six VIEW applications. All six will be provided on CDs courtesy of SEEDA to schools in the South East of England free of charge. |
